NEW ITEMS7”Any Last Words – s/t 7” (Havoc)
High energy fast Hardcore which brings to mind bands like Lifes Halt and No Justice and the faster late 80's SE bands like early Youth of Today or No For an Answer. The songs on this 7" are the best from their demo and some new tracks all recorded by Tim Mac and produced with his trademark crunch. Lyrically Any Last Words are a sincere and thoughtful band with current political commentary while still being incredibly pissed off at everything. ALW takes on GW Bush and his war, emo, work, fashioncore and society and still finds time to contribute the uproarious song "I wish I could skate". Critical Twin Cities Hardcore!
Cult Ritual (Burrito)
Twisted, dissonant guitar and discontented vocals backed up with hard-hitting drums and punchy bass lines. Seems like every hardcore band these days is claiming Black Flag as an influence, but these guys really have it, as well as a hefty helping of Poison Idea for flavor. This is the first record by these young men from Brandon, Florida. Expect more from them.
Damage Control – The Losing End (Cycle)
The final 'lost' 7" - 5 great DXC tracks. Their best material according to some. Including a 20 pages booklet with tons of pics, flyers and some extra stuff. A must-have for anyone into melodic ‘youth crew’ hardcore. This one is €5 because of the extra booklet.
Instängd - Mitt Svar På Ingenting EP (Sorry State)
Sweden's Instängd are a new band featuring members of Regulations and Tristess, but they don't sound anything like the melodic punk of those bands. On Mitt Svar PŒ Ingenting, InstŠngd take as their main influence old, barbaric Scandinavian punk like Headcleaners / HuvudtvŠtt, Missbrukarna, or S.O.D. (the Swedish one, not the one from New York). If you need a less obscure comparison, Urban Waste would make a good reference point since this has a completely blown-out, blistering guitar sound and catchy, punk-as-shit vocals. Needless to say, this six-song rager destroys everything in its path.
Iron Age – The Way is Narrow (Dead and Gone)
The la-*test*-('") installment of metallic hardcore crunch from Austin, Texas's Iron Age, bringing us a new track, The Way Is Narrow, backed with a cover of Satori Part 1 by the legendary Flower Travellin Band. The title track delivers a heavy dose of Leeway-via-early-Metallica riffing while the flip is an impressive take on Japan's answer to Black Sabbath.
Mönster / Daymares split (Mind Over Matter)
This is the new split release by Berlins MÖNSTER and their friends from DAYMARES out of Poland. MÖNSTER deliver a highly explosive mixture of modern Swedish/Portland-d-beat sound with a good measure of AC/DC and MOTÖRHEAD inspired riffs and classic straight forward hardcore. DAYMARES have crafted an excellent, heavy as hell counterpart that combines hardcore, metal and death 'n’ roll into a ticking, time-bomb of catchy, pummeling hardcore that is well-worth picking up - firmly planting the band somewhere between ENTOMBED, GENOCIDE SS and TRAGEDY.
Path of Destruction – 1:00 AM (Havoc)
Minneapolis hardcore crust punk at it's most tough and brutal. This band started originally with Chad of Calloused on Drums, Link of Pontious Pilate on bass, Big Rick of Code 13, Rat Bastards, Dead Drunk, Motherfuckers, Impulse Manslaughter etc. on guitar and Andy Hefner on vocals. They recorded a 7" for Sin Fronteras and a split ep with Minneapolis metallic crust core band Provoked. Path of Destruction also toured Europe and the USA with this line up. Andy left and was replaced by Pignose of Assrash on vocals. The main influence here is Poison Idea and when you spin this sucker you will Feel the Darkness. But it's hard to really nail these guys down as punk, hardcore or crust since their style really draws on elements prevalent in all three subgenres for maximum impact.
Patient Zero / Flick Knives and Splinters (Play It Faster / Peter Bower / Right to Refuse)
Patient Zero - killer d-beat hardcore punk, in the vein of Fighting Shit etc. Flick Knives and Splinters - really fast hardcore punk with female vocals – killer.
Two seriously kick ass bands, that are both now sadly DEAD. Members of CUTTING CLASS, GRAMERCY RIFFS, and BURNING THE PROSPECT.
Short Fuse – Blight (Assault)
"Blight" has six new songs of hardcore punk for the working class. No gimmicks, no crews, no bullshit. Disillusioned, angry and pissed. Short Fuse are unafraid to voice their disappointment with their lives, their jobs and YOU. Not looking for approval, this is honest punk rock the way it was meant to be played, raw, abrasive and in your face.
Short Fuse – Fruitless Efforts (Assault)
Hot on the heels of their debut LP came the new SHORT FUSE EP. Four new tracks of hardcore punk that showcases the bands progression. A little less trash, a little more melody and anger to spare- these songs will stay in your head after a few spins. These guys are still pissed and jaded, but they're also ready to fight, wearing their working class colors with defiance. They might hate their jobs, but they sure as hell are dedicated to this band, a vessel of their own creation, powered by anger and passion. For those of you who can't do without some comparisons, imagine early Fucked Up mixed with Discharge and Poison Idea. Dirty and raw, this is SHORT FUSE and they're ready to explode. High production values on this one, don't miss out!
Sniffing Glue - Suburban Suicide / Suburban Violence (Search For Fame)
Here is the 2nd vinyl release from SNIFFING GLUE. Yet again you'll get completely insane hardcore-punk in the best '80s reagan-era style. Incredible lyrics belted out over furious yet catchy songs really put this over the top. Cool trebly guitar attack with some fist-pumping tempos to satisfy all hardcore-heads. The EP is strictly limited to 300 copies.
Sodomized by Marcia Brady (Burrito)
Sodomized By Marcia Brady play fast as hell old school hardcore punk similar to
the Neos or Negative FX, complete with distortion-drenched guitars and
troll-like gruff vocals, unrelenting in their ability to ruin the Brady Bunch
for everyone. All songs included are covers of classic Florida bands like Roach
Motel, Death, and Chickenhead, except for the SBMB original "George Bush's
Daughters Need Discipline." Blistering! One of many Burrito releases we're
carrying
State – Sanctimony (Punks Before Profits)
New release by this legendary band from the 80s.
12”Koro: Speed Kills LP (Sorry State)
If you've heard their classic 700 Club EP then you know what to expect: one of the fas-*test*-('"), tigh-*test*-('") and most vicious bands ever playing some of the best-written hardcore songs of all time. This LP contains 11 songs and while some of them are re-recorded versions of songs from the EP, the new ones find the band bringing even more complexity to their songwriting, even breaking the one-minute barrier on a few tracks. This LP is also exquisitely packaged with lyrics to all the tracks and a lengthy interview with Koro guitarist Carl Snow. You've been waiting 20 years for this and it's finally here, so what are you waiting for?
Rabies - Test Your Might LP (Sorry State)
If you liked their Disease Core EP from earlier this year you'll go crazy over Rabies' debut full-length. Expect 13 tracks of ripping punk/hardcore that frequently garners comparisons to greats like the Germs, Black Flag and Wasted Youth. Marvel at the punked-out, catchy-as-bird-flu riffs. Stand aghast at the complex walking bass lines. Feel the skin peel from your face as you hear the blazing solos.

DMM002 Sick Mormons – s/t 7”
(split release with Angry Youth and Gummopunx records)
Four young punks from Amsterdam that sound like they were born thirty years too late and should really be living in southern California. For 'fans' of Articles of Faith, Social Distortion, Adolescents, Agent Orange (US), Bad Religion and more bands like that. The 7" should be out in July.
